Foothills Motorcycles in conjunction with the Rocky Mountain R.A.T (Riders Association of Triumph) have invited BMW Motorcycle Club of Colorado for a special event with Ron Francis.

Ron Francis runs the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride in Ft. Collins, as well as hosts a podcast from his home in Loveland titled "Peace, Love Moto." I have been told that is is very good.

Please DO register so that we can provide Foothills Motorcycles with a headcount for the event.

Also, please DO support these monthly meetings if you wish to see them continue throughout the year.

Our approach to bread is based on the Respectus Panis® method developed by Les Ambassadeurs du Pain. We give nature time to work for us, so there is no rapid fermentation and low salt content! ! We don't add gluten to our viennoiseries (croissants, ...) in addition to flour and avoid food coloring.

Our coffees come from Laos and Ethiopia. We support small-scale producers.

For our tea, we partner with Mariage Frères, the French tea specialist since 1854!

This first of 2 Mountains of Ice Cream rides, this route will go to Kremmling for a stop at Big Shooters where we highly recommend the “Electric Fence”, but you can’t go wrong with any of the ice cream or food offerings here. From there we will go to Foote's Rest Sweet Shop in Frisco. Here you can enjoy a treat of ice cream, fudge or other candy.

We will get lunch in either Kremmling or Fristco, depending on how hungry the group is at either of the stops.

The 54th annual Top O’ The Rockies Rally is the go-to event of the summer. The entire event takes place within the beautifully maintained historic Paonia Town Park, where it has been held for the past 37 years. The BMW Motorcycle Club of Colorado is a welcoming club that encourages riders of all makes and models to take part in this quiet, small town event.

8th Annual Poker Run for Motorcycle Relief Project (25 Jul 2026)

The Motorcycle Relief Project (MRP) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization that provides relief to veterans and first responders with PTSD and other injuries, by taking them on multi-day motorcycle adventure tours. Their mission is to honor and encourage veterans and first responders while providing them with opportunities to decompress, get unstuck, and connect with other veterans.

This is one way we can give back to the many men and woman who have sacrificed and served in our military, police, fire department and EMS to provide us with the freedoms and liberties that we as Americans have come to love and enjoy. Please join us for this very worth cause and have some fun while we give back to our veterans and first responders.

We will keep the poker run route to a maximum of a two-hour ride so that you can still enjoy the afternoon riding the beautiful area around Paonia.

$25 per hand entry fee for early pre-pay for Rally Registrants. The cost if you sign up at the Rally will be $30 per hand. Multiple hands may be purchased. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Motorcycle Relief Project. The BMW Motorcycle Club of Colorado will also make an additional match donation based from Rally Revenue.

Winner will get to choose their prize. Lucky number drawings will be held as well. Winners will be announced at the closing ceremony.

Route, format and rules for the Poker Run will be distributed at the rally during registration.

Land of Enchantment BMW Riders invites you to join them at the 41^st Bavarian Mountain Weekend event. This will be the 3rd year it has been held at the Down Home Lodge & RV Park, a former church camp location. You can enjoy twenty acres of grass, tree lined camping spots, showers with gas stations and local restaurants nearby.

This will not be a lead ride event for us, but several BMWMCC officers and members will attend. Possible meetups for group rides will likely be mentioned on our BMWMCC Facebook Page.

For those that have not been to Chama, a local opportunity is a ride on the narrow-gauge Cumbres & Toltec train, which runs 1000 ft higher than the Durango Silverton Train.

Registration for the rally is available at www.loebmwr.org. Early registration is $50 and is $60 after August 15^th, 2026. The Rally fee does not include camping or lodging, which must be done through the Down Home Lodge website (https://www.downhomelodge.com) or calling (575) 756-2756. Be sure to say you are attending the Rally as they offer discount from the standard camping fee.

Don’t miss riding CO 17 from Antonito to Chama! One of Colorado’s great twisty routes.

Depart: Breakfast at 7AM at The Farmhouse Grill at Raccoon Creek with a departure time of 8AM

Overnight: Trinidad: We will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express, but there are some other lower cost options nearby.

Dinner: Tequila's Family Mexican Restaurant

This is an overnight trip with some beautiful scenery to be enjoyed. This time of year the colors should be at peak or near peak in this region. Every time we go to this area for fall colors we are not disappointed!

We we will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Trinidad, but there are some other lower cost options nearby.

We will have some great food that evening at Tequila's Family Mexican Restaurant, near the Holiday Inn Express.

The Highway of Legends (Colorado State 12) is an 82-mile Scenic Byway in southern Colorado that loops around the Spanish Peaks. The route connects the towns of Trinidad, Walsenburg and La Veta, offering a blend of dramatic volcanic geography, mining history and native American lore.

Highlights of the trip include the "Wet Mountains," Stonewall, CO, and beautiful Cucharas Pass.

"The Highway of Legends" earned its name because the landscape is so dramatic that every peak, valley and rock has a story attached. to it. The legends are a blend of indigenous creation myths, Spanish explorer accounts and Wild West lore.

If you have never ridden the "Highway of Legends" or it has been awhile since your last visit, this trip should not be missed!
